My name is Mona Abhari, and I am a 23 year-old Palestinian American. My identity and life experiences have helped shape and strengthen my deep passion for justice, equity, and helped build a deeper understanding of myself and those around me. I find purpose in fighting for something bigger than myself, and therefore naturally gravitate towards community building, progressive values, and serving others, all communicated best through my creative expression.
I use my creativity not only to better understand the world around me, but to help call others to action. I see my role in the fight for collective liberation as lifelong. My role in that fight looks like a community leader, an activist, an organizer, a daughter, a sister, a partner, but most importantly, an artist.
